BEETHOVEN’S NINTH SYMPHONY

PERFORMED BY THE ORCHESTRA AND CHOIR OF TEATRO COLÓN BUENOS AIRES CONDUCTED BY JOSÉ CURA

Beethoven’s last great masterpiece, Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 with its rousing choral finale, Ode to Joy, stands as one of the supreme achievements in the history of Western music. The orchestra, choir and soloists of the Teatro Colón Buenos Aires under the baton of José Cura do justice to the complexity, magnificence and grandeur of this work, expressing the noble ideals that inspired the composer. The four soloists in Ode to Joy are gloriously sung by singers from Teatro Colón Buenos Aires. A pre-performance talk will take place 1 hour prior to the performance. (For ticket holders only.) Coffee and Dates on 9th September at 7:00 pm.
