CARMEN

OPERA BY GEORGES BIZET PERFORMED BY TEATRO COLÓN BUENOS AIRES

Bizet’s opera Carmen returns with grand sets from ROHM’s inaugural season with Direction, Set and Costume Design by the Oscar winner Gianni Quaranta, lighting design by A.J. Weissbard and brilliant new choreography by the Antonio Gadès Company. One of the greatest tenors of our time, José Cura, will sing Don José, a naïve soldier who loses his heart to the capricious gypsy, Carmen, sung by charismatic mezzo-soprano Elena Maximova. Anita Hartig performs as the gentle Micaela and George Petean plays the glamorous toreador Escamillo. Carmen will be performed by the prestigious Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, conducted by Antonello Allemandi. A pre-performance talk will take place 1 hour prior to the performance. For ticket holders only. Al Mandoos on 8th September at 7:00 pm. Coffee and Dates on 9th September at 7:00 pm.
