RUSSIAN NATIONAL ORCHESTRA

Conducted by Pier Carlo Orizio with the participation of the violinist Sergej Krylov

Described as "a living symbol of the best in Russian art", the Russian National Orchestra is one of the world’s top symphonies, performing globally in the most prestigious venues. When the orchestra debuted at the BBC Proms, the Evening Standard wrote, "They played with such captivating beauty that the audience gave an involuntary sigh of pleasure." In two thrilling concerts that feature the astoundingly virtuoso Russian violinist, Sergej Krylov, on the first night audiences hear SaintSaëns’ Dance Macabre op.40; Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, op.64; Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet Overture-Fantasy; and Ravel’s famous Bolero. On the second night, in addition to the piece by SaintSaëns, they will hear Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D major, op.35 and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.
