GIOACHINO ROSSINI (1792 – 1868) PERFORMED BY ROSSINI OPERA FESTIVAL

The collaboration between ROHM and ROF (Rossini Opera Festival) continues this season with the farce, La Cambiale di Matrimonio. A beautiful young woman in love with a penniless young man struggles against her father’s scheme to marry her to a wealthy foreign business associate. Luckily, the contract is faulty; and, after an hilarious twist in the plot, true love triumphs. In this production, director Laurence Dale expertly aligns staging with the music to produce stunning comic and theatrical effects that are amplified as Alessandro Bonato conducts the orchestra, using the new critical edition score edited by Fondazione Rossini for the first time. Pre-performance talk 1 hour prior to the show. (For ticket holders only)
