PERCUSSION PRESENTATION
Participants in this interesting event will enjoy learning about and hearing the different sound effects of various members of the largest instrument family, the compelling and atmospheric percussion section. The percussion family is believed to include the world’s oldest musical instruments, following the human voice. Both Western and Arab percussion instruments will be expertly played by Tetraktis, a group of talented young artists, and illustrated on stage by dynamic actors. The programme will encompass classical percussion instruments most commonly used in opera and symphonic concerts such as the timpani, drums, cymbals, the triangle, and the tambourine. It will also include more improvisational instruments typically used for jazz, pop and folk music.
