    The family night takes audiences on a journey through the art of comic Italian opera. It is a style of opera that suits all family members, especially the young ones and the young at heart. As the name indicates, it is a fun-filled art mainly characterized by its light airy songs. Comic opera, or “opera buffa”, is a genre known for its funny characters and happy endings and is usually filled with sarcasm and social criticism. This concert programme is designed to introduce “opera buffa” to audiences and includes the best comic arias by Donizetti and Rossini; masters of this genre.
